A Nigerian who has lived in Italy for 18 years shared her traumatic experience with a Nigerian bank. A woman named Glory Omokaro went to Italy in 2005.
She first came to Nigeria in 2013 to open a bank account. Glory claimed to have saved 68 million naira in her account, but when she returned to Nigeria in May 2023, she only found out there were 3,000 naira.
How 68 million Naira was transferred from the woman’s bank account. In 2021, her ATM card expired and she called the bank manager to help renew it but was told she had to be present.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Glory was unable to travel to Nigeria at that time. When he came back in May 2023, there was only N3,000 left in the account. She asked for a bank statement and discovered that the money had been transferred from the account in installments.
